Columbia High School business students learned about marketing, sales, financial services and hotel management, including banquets and culinary arts during Job Shadow Day on February 25.
They visited CAP COM Federal Credit Union and the Albany Marriott in Colonie as part of the Be Entrepreneurial Junior Achievement program and Personal Finance Junior Achievement program at Columbia.
Students toured both facilities, shadowed employees, had hands-on experiences and participated in team-building activities.
Paula Stopera, President and CEO of CAP COM, spoke to the students, as well as several department heads from the Marriott.
This annual event is sponsored by Junior Achievement of Northeastern New York.
