20160511-silver-best-high-schoolsColumbia High School received a Silver Medal ranking in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2016 Best High Schools list, placing it among the top 10.9% of schools in the country.

Nearly 20,000 public high schools were ranked with a College Readiness Index score out of 100, based on state assessments, graduation rates and college readiness.

Columbia ranked fifth in the Capital Region, 181st in New York State and 2,022 in the country.

“This honor is a reflection of the hard work that our students, staff and families exhibit every day,” said Superintendent Dr. Angela Nagle.
