East Greenbush Central School District students and staff raised approximately $3,100 for brain cancer awareness and research by participating in the Team Billy Ride and Walk for Research on Sunday in Saratoga Springs.
The event, which benefitted the National Brain Tumor Society, raised more than $102,000.
Columbia English teacher Jason DeFrias helped organized the EGCSD Community Team.
“The support, love and kindness exhibited by the members of this school-community has been overwhelming and inspiring,” DeFrias said.
