DPS Tour de Cure group photoFor the second year in a row, DPS fourth grader John Bouzy will ride his bicycle in the Tour de Cure, a 10-mile bike ride to benefit the American Diabetes Association. This year’s race is scheduled for Sunday, June 5 in Saratoga Springs.

Bouzy, who has type 1 diabetes, has been fundraising by accepting donations and holding raffles. His Tour de Cure team named Superheroes is comprised of family and friends, including his mother Jennifer Musial and DPS School Nurse Sarah Tacy.

“The more money we raise the closer we are to finding a cure,” Bouzy said.

On Saturday, May 21, Bouzy will be holding a fundraising event at the Country True Value in East Greenbush with cotton candy, snow cones, Freckles the Clown and more.
