Genet Elementary students competed in a number of track and field events at their annual Field Day on Wednesday. Students in grades 1-5 ran in the 50, 100 and 300 meter races. They also chose one field event, which included running long jump, standing long jump, vertical jump, softball throw and 30-second basketball shot.
Field Day culminated with fifth grader Tanner Malone winning the 300 meter Coaches Cup race with a time of 50.4 seconds.
Kindergarten Field Day will be held on Tuesday, June 7.
