Capital Project

The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a $116 million capital project that, if approved by voters, would improve facilities and grounds at all seven schools at no additional cost to the local taxpayer. The proposed capital project will be a proposition on the School Budget Vote and Board Election ballot scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

Columbia freshman Maddy Taylor won first place and senior Hannah Wheeler placed second at the “Horsing Around with the Arts” Show at the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in Saratoga Springs on April 27.

The juried show recognized equine-themed artwork from local students in grades 8-12. Each grade level had first, second and third place finishers as well as two honorable mentions.

Columbia honorable mentions were awarded to junior Emily Kane and freshmen Anisha Akunuru and Matthew Fallon.

Also accepted into the show was the work of:

  • Amanda Eager – 12th grade
  • Vanessa Holzeis – 12th grade
  • Lindsay Davis – 10th grade
  • Courtney Baird – 9th grade
  • Margaret Boyagian – 9th grade
  • Naomi Chojnacki – 9th grade

The exhibit was on display at the museum from April 28 to May 22.
