Students from Columbia High School’s Art Club used their talent to beautify a town park by painting a mural on the side of the Hampton Manor Beach House in East Greenbush. The colorful mural shows two hands coming together in the shape of a heart with a sunset in the background.
The students were invited by the Town of East Greenbush to create the mural to improve the park and make it more community friendly. Art Club students designed a theme that would meet the town’s goals of expressing community, being kind to the earth and getting along with one another.
“The end result is beautiful and the Town Board along with residents in the neighborhood and everyone here at Town Hall is most appreciative of their efforts,” said Town Services Coordinator Jessica Lansing. “We are thrilled to have worked with these amazingly talented students and hope to work with them again on future endeavors.”
