The breakfast table for DPS students moved from the kitchen at home to the cafeteria at school on Thursday morning. Nearly 250 adults joined 122 students for a special DPS Parent Breakfast.
“We were very impressed by the turnout and appreciated seeing our students sit side by side with members of their family prior to the school day,” said DPS Principal Jack Alvey, who came up with the idea.
“What a great way to have families sit down together and share a meal,” said Food Service Manager Phyllis Sanford-Krug. “Thank you to Cindy Pour, Sara Collier and Kathy Brant for all their hard work and gracious hospitality.”
