All parents and guardians of students in grades 3-12 are invited to a Google Apps for Education seminar on Wednesday, January 18 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Columbia High School auditorium.
This is an opportunity for parents to learn how teachers and students are using Google Apps for Education. The web-based tool makes it possible for students to work together virtually on documents, presentations and projects, utilize online storage space and electronically submit assignments, all while improving their technology skills.
All students in grades 3 and above have received an email account to allow communication and collaboration through this free service. Columbia and Goff students began using Google Apps in February and September of last year, respectively.
The elementary schools will start using Google Apps this month. (This letter will be sent home to parents/guardians after the students login on January 11.)
