Capital Project

The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a $116 million capital project that, if approved by voters, would improve facilities and grounds at all seven schools at no additional cost to the local taxpayer. The proposed capital project will be a proposition on the School Budget Vote and Board Election ballot scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

Columbia Principal John Sawchuk placed second at the 16 Handles Tastemaker Fundraiser on Monday evening. His creation, the “Old School Special,” featured vanilla and strawberry frozen yogurt, caramel with sea salt, crumbled brownie, strawberries, kiwi eyes and nose, and an M&M smile.

Columbia will receive a $165.00 donation from 16 Handles – a $100 prize for Mr. Sawchuk’s runner-up finish and $65 based on a percentage of the sales from the night. The money will be given to the Science Olympiad team for travel expenses to the National Championships this weekend.

Nice job, Mr. Sawchuk!
