The day before Albany’s 39th annual Freihofer’s Run for Women, professional runner Hannah Davidson visited Green Meadow Elementary School. She spoke to students, including the Green Meadow and Bell Top Running Clubs, about the sport and this very special race.

Unfortunately, Ms. Davidson will not be able to compete on Saturday due to a recent injury. However, she enjoyed meeting the Running Club students and sharing her love of running with them.

“It’s awesome that you have such a big program,” she said. “It’s really inspiring.”

Ms. Davidson, who graduated from Saratoga Springs High School, talked about her running career and answered many questions from students about training, stretching and nutrition.

Students from both schools will be running in the Freihofer’s Junior 3K and the Freihofer’s Kids’ Run on Saturday.
