In honor of Flag Day, Green Meadow Student Council presented the school, with the help of the VFW of Castelton, with a new flag to fly in front of school. Students learned how to properly fold a flag, raise the flag, and how to respect the flag during the ceremony.
The school’s old flag was given to the VFW to dispose of properly.
“The Student Council was honored and privileged to take part in such a patriotic lesson of respect as they saluted the Stars and Stripes,” said John Flanagan, second grade teacher and Student Council co-advisor.
