Goff students at miSci

Goff students prepare for their space mission in a simulator at miSci in Schenectady.

Students in Goff science teacher Marian Roohan’s class visited MiSci (Museum of Innovation and Science) in Schenectady recently to take a simulator mission into space. Each student filled a role as they collaborated to complete the mission and rendezvous with a comet.

Students with lunar samples

Students examined lunar samples in class.

“They had a first-hand experience of what it would be like to experience being in Mission Control and on the International Space Center doing experiments!” Mrs. Roohan said.

Later in the week, students examined lunar samples on loan from NASA’s Johnson Space Center.
