Capital Project

The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a $116 million capital project that, if approved by voters, would improve facilities and grounds at all seven schools at no additional cost to the local taxpayer. The proposed capital project will be a proposition on the School Budget Vote and Board Election ballot scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

East Greenbush Central School District donated $4,481.85 to the American Red Cross on Monday morning to assist in the hurricane relief effort in Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico.

“I am overwhelmed by our community’s generosity and thank everyone who participated,” said Superintendent Jeff Simons. “Not only will this money support the people who have been impacted by these hurricanes, but it provides an important lesson to our students about helping others in need.”

School staff donated $2,568.00 as part of two dress-down days and the school community contributed $1,813.85 from a coin drive at the schools. The Green Meadow PTO also gave $100.

“It is so great to see the outpouring of support from the community,” said Kevin Coffey, Regional Chief Development Officer for the American Red Cross. “While the devastating hurricanes have passed, the Red Cross continues to help the communities affected by these unprecedented storms. Thank you East Greenbush School District.”
