Columbia graduates share college advice

Joey Blackburn ’17 talks about college residence halls at Columbia’s Alumni Day.

While on college break, nine Columbia graduates from the Class of 2017 returned to their alma mater on Friday afternoon to share advice about their college experiences with current students.

The alumni, who attend colleges such as Boston College, Clarkson University, The College of Saint Rose and Hawaii Pacific University, discussed what college is really like. They talked about their class schedules, work study jobs and roommates.

“College is all about the effort,” said Marissa Hochberg ’17, who attends Siena College. “The more you put into it, the more you get out of it.”

The event was sponsored by the Guidance Department.
