Dear Parents and Guardians,
Congratulations to the Genet Student Council for coordinating our annual “Soup-er” Bowl Drive which ended last Friday, a total of 1,846 cans of soup were donated by Genet students for the Regional Food Bank! Thank you to all who supported this wonderful effort. The classroom winners of the most cans collected were Mr. Siver’s and Miss Corey’s classes. A pizza party from the PTO will be coming their way!
It’s been a hectic week with delays in school openings and a snow day. This is a good time to remind everyone again that on days where the temperature or wind chills do not dip below 20 degrees, our children do go outside for recess. Please be sure that students are coming to school with their boots, warm coats, hats and mittens/gloves.
Kindergarten Registration for Fall 2018 takes place on Thursday, February 15th at Genet from 9:30-11:00 AM and 6:00-8:00 PM. If you have a child at home who will be turning 5 years old by December 1, 2018, she/he is eligible to enroll for Kindergarten. Please contact Mrs. Giordano at school for a Registration Packet and information about paperwork that will be necessary for registration. Mrs. Giordano will be able to answer any questions you may have concerning K Registration.
Has your child submitted their STEM FAIR Project Proposal yet? If they will be participating in the annual STEM Fair, please turn in your proposal soon. The STEM Fair will be held on Wednesday, March 14th.
