Capital Project

The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a $116 million capital project that, if approved by voters, would improve facilities and grounds at all seven schools at no additional cost to the local taxpayer. The proposed capital project will be a proposition on the School Budget Vote and Board Election ballot scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

Four Honored at Education Foundation Gala

The East Greenbush school community came together to celebrate four special individuals and raised approximately $10,000 for students at the East Greenbush Education Foundation’s annual gala on Friday.

More than 150 people attended the popular springtime event which featured dinner, raffles, student performances and an awards ceremony.

Three alumni – Michael Condo ’81, Scott Noel ’89 and Drew Romanowski ’92 – were inducted into the Columbia High School Hall of Fame and community member Mary Signorelli was recognized for her positive contributions to the school district.

“The Gala is not only a great fundraiser that provides support for scholarships and enrichment experiences for our students, it is an exceptional community celebration,” Superintendent Jeff Simons said. “This year’s inductees into the Columbia High School Hall of Fame stand out as important community contributors that make East Greenbush such a special place.”

All proceeds from the gala go towards senior awards and providing summer enrichment grants for East Greenbush Central School District students to attend in areas such as athletics, music, the arts and leadership training.
