Students from across the East Greenbush Central School District showed off their creativity and artistic skills at the 2018 Art Show on Thursday evening at Columbia High School.
More than 1,500 people attended the event which highlighted many types of artwork, such as drawings, paintings, ceramics and photography, all around the theme of “The Great Outdoors.”
“This year’s Art Show was a huge success!” said Columbia art teacher Patti LeRoy. “We’re so proud of all of our students.”
The Columbia lobby had a camp site display complete with a tent, fire pit and travel chair. Artwork adorned the lobby and lined the hallway down to the cafeteria.
“It’s really great to see all of the students in the district come together in this way,” said Lindsey Conboy ’18, who had three pots and a sculpture in the show. “This year’s theme seemed very relevant and you can see how it inspired all of the students.
Special thanks to all of the district’s art teachers who organized the Art Show, and for bringing out such wonderful talent in our students!
