All schools will be closed for Spring Recess starting Thursday, March 28 through Monday, April 8. The first day back from break is scheduled for Tuesday, April 9. Have a safe and enjoyable break!

The South End Children’s Cafe wants to host a year-end formal dance, and Columbia High School students are helping to make it possible.

Columbia students have organized a clothing drive and a Flapjack Fundraiser to support the event scheduled for Friday, June 22.

  • Formal attire for children of all sizes (dresses, shoes, dress shirts, etc.) can be donated in the Main Office at any East Greenbush school.
  • The Flapjack Fundraiser is scheduled for Saturday, May 19 at Applebee’s (594 N Troy Rd., Rensselaer, NY 12144) from 8-10 a.m. Breakfast costs $8 per person and includes three pancakes, two slices of bacon and your choice of unlimited beverage (coffee, tea, orange juice, soda).

The South End Children’s Cafe is a program that serves a free, healthy dinner to children residing in the South End of Albany. The mission of the South End Children’s Cafe is to impact food insecurity, address food equality and food justice, enhance academic success and positively influence the physical and mental health of children living in and around the South End of Albany, New York by offering free, healthy dinner time meals along with homework help and other enrichment programs.
