Capital Project

The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a $116 million capital project that, if approved by voters, would improve facilities and grounds at all seven schools at no additional cost to the local taxpayer. The proposed capital project will be a proposition on the School Budget Vote and Board Election ballot scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

Summer Meal ProgramEven though school is out for the summer, free meals are still available to children and teens in need throughout Rensselaer County. Any child under the age of 18 can receive free breakfast and lunch at various sites beginning this week.

You do not need to sign up or submit paperwork. All sites will offer meals Monday through Friday.

The meal sites located closest to our schools are listed below. Additional meal sites can be found by visiting www.summermealsny.org, calling 2-1-1 or texting “food” to 877-877.

For more information, call the Rensselaer County Department for Youth at 518-266-7550. This program is sponsored by the United Way, Troy Boys & Girls Club, Rensselaer County Department for Youth, NYS Education Department and Hunger Solutions of New York.
