Capital Project

The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a $116 million capital project that, if approved by voters, would improve facilities and grounds at all seven schools at no additional cost to the local taxpayer. The proposed capital project will be a proposition on the School Budget Vote and Board Election ballot scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

Students Practice Bus Safety Drill

Bus safety drill at Goff Middle SchoolEast Greenbush Central School District’s Transportation Department held its first of three state-mandated bus safety drills of the school year this week. The drills are completed at all seven schools as well as all private, parochial and special needs schools served by the district.

A school bus driver gives students instructions on how to safely cross the street after getting off the bus.

The drill focuses on the following:

  • general bus rules
  • safe crossing procedures
  • safe loading and unloading
  • proper use of seat belts
  • emergency equipment and exits

Students also practiced evacuating the bus.
