Emergency responders recognized at a Board of Education meetingEast Greenbush Central School District recognized the various public safety agencies that help keep our students and staff safe at last week’s Board of Education meeting held at Green Meadow Elementary School. Each of the law enforcement, EMS and fire departments that serve our schools were invited to the public meeting and thanked for their dedication.

“The district is fortunate to have exceptional and caring first responders protecting our schools and citizens,” said Superintendent Jeff Simons. “The Board welcomed the opportunity to publicly thank them.”

Not only do these agencies protect and serve our communities daily, but they contribute to district safety plans, make regular appearances at each of the schools and teach important safety topics to students throughout the school year.

“I am pleased that we were able to host this recognition ceremony at our school,” said Green Meadow Principal Daniel Garab. “Each of these agencies are integral to providing a safe and healthy learning environment for our students.”
