East Greenbush Central School District students scored near the top of all Capital Region school districts on the 2018 New York State Grades 3-8 Tests, according to state data. East Greenbush students scored 64% proficient in English Language Arts (T-3rd) and 63% proficient in math (8th).
“Increases in our New York State test scores reflect the professional practices of our teachers, administrators and support staff,” said Superintendent Jeff Simons. “We are focused on aligning classroom instruction with the learning standards reflected by the tests; paying equal attention to promoting a safe and healthy learning environment within which all children can flourish.”
Each student’s test results have been mailed home directly from the Northeastern Regional Information Center. The results have no impact on a student’s academic record.
