Students collecting money for Salvation Army outside of WalmartColumbia Student Council members rang bells and collected donations for the Salvation Army this past weekend outside the Walmart in East Greenbush. They volunteered on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with their advisors Chelsea Dyer and Kelley Sheraw.

The money was donated to the Salvation Army in memory of former Columbia student Chris Bascom.

The students also spent time shopping for adopt-a-family gifts for two Columbia families, as well as toys for the school’s Toys for Tots drive. Great job!
