The East Greenbush Teachers Association raised $534 for cystic fibrosis research on Saturday by participating in a fundraiser race up the Corning Tower at the Empire State Plaza in Albany.

Each of the team members, including Columbia High School teachers Daniel Wagner, Rachel Toolan and Wendy MacAlonie and her son Daniel, climbed 42 flights of stairs (809 steps). Congratulations to Mrs. Toolan who won 2nd place in her age group!

The fundraiser proceeds will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

“Once again our Union has shown its generosity and dedication to help our community and the world,” said Mr. Wagner. “By raising money and awareness we hope to one day cure cystic fibrosis.”
