Genet students at Odyssey of the Mind competition

Genet students at the Odyssey of the Mind Regional Tournament.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Thanks to all of you who cheered our kids on at Lip Sync last Friday evening.  A very special thank you to our Lip Sync Chairpersons, Michelle Hegener and Alison Hooley; to Leia Nardacci for choreographing the Faculty number; to all of our staff who participated; and to Hiroko Gier, Melanie Posniewski, Lauren Messier, Monica Agers for coordinating the Grade 5 Finale and managing all of those early morning before school practices!  A great night was had by all!

Next week will see our Annual STEM Fair taking place on Wednesday evening, March 20, beginning at 5:30 PM in the Gymnasium.  At the same time our PTO will be serving a Ziti Dinner in the Cafeteria and Grade 5 will be conducting a Bake Sale there.  Enjoy viewing the creative projects our students have been working on for months.  I look forward to seeing you there!

The East Greenbush Education Foundation will be hosting a Dessert Night on Tuesday, March 19th at  Goff Middle School at 6-8 PM.  All proceeds from the evening help to support special student scholarships for students.

Spring School Picture Day will be coming up on Friday, March 29th.  More information should be coming home with students.

Congratulations to Genet’s Odyssey of the Mind Team who captured 3rd Place in last weekend’s Regional Competition!  Thank you to Ryan Ecker, Griffin Hall, Andrew Hastings, Liam Peck, Connar Benson and Mary Weinheimer for representing Genet so well and bringing home a trophy!

Spring is in the air!

Best Regards,

Ana Yeomans
