Students at Columbia High School and Howard L. Goff Middle School received special musical instruction from six guest musicians last month as part of the free Bridge Arts Ensemble Program. In all, there were 70 sessions offered to students during the week-long visit, including the following classes:

The program was offered to East Greenbush Central School District for free through the Washington-Saratoga-Warren-Hamilton-Essex BOCES and funded by an anonymous donor.

“The Bridge Arts Ensemble was great to work with! The musicians were engaging and enthusiastic about teaching,” said Scott Halliday, chair of the Music Department. “The students at Goff and Columbia really enjoyed working with them.”

The Bridge Arts Ensemble Program was offered to East Greenbush elementary schools in February.
