2018-19 retirees recognized at BOE meetingMore than two dozen staff members who are retiring from the East Greenbush Central School District this year were recognized for their service at Wednesday’s Board of Education meeting in the Genet Elementary School auditorium.

The retirees represent all areas of the school district, from bus drivers to teachers, and cafeteria workers to principals.

“The retirement of our employees – teachers, administrators and key support staff – is bittersweet for our district,” said Superintendent Jeff Simons. “We appreciate the positive impact that each has made on our students. But yet, we lament the loss of years of successful experience in service to our children and community. We know in our hearts, however, that each retiree is well-deserving of a restful, rewarding and relaxing next chapter in their lives. Each will always be part of our school community.”

Congratulations and best wishes!
