Students perform a choreographed dance at the end of the Green Meadow 5th Grade Moving Up Ceremony.
Green Meadow fifth graders were celebrated by teachers, staff and family members at their Moving Up Ceremony on Tuesday morning as they received graduation certificates and officially completed elementary school.
The students will move on to 6th grade at Howard L. Goff Middle School in September.
“This is a class I will always remember,” said Principal Daniel Garab. “We started our journey at Green Meadow together in September 2013, with the students entering as kindergarteners while I had just became the principal. It’s been so rewarding to watch this group of students learn and grow during our years together.”
The Moving Up Ceremony featured student awards, a photo slideshow of all the graduates, a bucket drum performance and a choreographed group dance.
