Registration is now open for the 2nd annual Sean Strong 5K on Sunday, June 3 at Howard L. Goff Middle School. The event, which features a 5K open to both runners and walkers, a mile race for kids (under 12 years old) and a .5 mile kids sprint (under 10 years old), will benefit the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in memory of Sean Jucha.
Sean was a Goff Middle School student who passed away in 2016 following a long battle with cancer.
Proceeds from this event will be specifically directed to some of the country’s top medical researchers at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston where Sean received treatment. These researchers are working on a cure for the tumor that claimed Sean’s life and are funded solely on proceeds and donations.
