Nearly 40 students in grades K-8 participated in the 6th annual Barrett Memorial Run on Saturday at Columbia High School. The top three finishers were James Brahah (19:35), Jasper Travis (20:27) and Connor Baumeister (20:38).
The event honors the late Dennis Barrett who taught social studies and coached cross country at Columbia High School. Proceeds from the event support the Barrett Memorial Scholarship which is given to two graduating seniors on the Columbia Cross Country team.
The event is sponsored by the Columbia Cross Country program and the East Greenbush Education Foundation.
