We are proud to collaborate with the Parent Network of the Capital Region (PCNR) to provide informative workshops and resources for our parents of students with special needs. Throughout the year, we cover a variety of topics related to parenting a child with special needs and understanding the special education process.
All parents of students who have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) will receive email alerts of upcoming workshops. If your child is not classified as a student with a disability, but you would like to be on the list to receive email notification of upcoming Parent Workshops, simply call our office at 207-2065 and we will add you to our email list.
While the workshops are topic-oriented, there is always time afterward to have questions answered, engage in conversation and make connections with other parents who have children with special needs.
Most workshops are held at the East Greenbush Library on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings. Topics for 2015-2016 will include:
- Starting Off on the Right Foot
- Bullying and Harassment
- Accommodations and Modifications
- Transition and the IEP
- Open Forum with District Administration
