The Columbia Unified Basketball team won a bronze medal at the Special Olympics USA National Games in Seattle on Thursday afternoon, defeating Washington 34-10. Columbia’s team represented New York in the national tournament.
As the nation celebrates its founding, 45 immigrant students who were all born outside the United States, are learning more about this country’s history and culture while continuing their practice of the English language.
The next Board of Education meeting will be held on Monday, July 9 at 6:00 p.m. in Central Administration. All residents are invited to attend.
The district will hold a series of “Kick-Off Meetings” for students entering grades 6-12 and their parents regarding the new Lighthouse 1:1 Chromebook program.
Summer school and district offices will be closed on Wednesday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. Classes will resume and offices will re-open on Thursday, July 5.
