Participating in intramurals is a great way for students to make friends and have fun while playing sports. Howard L. Goff Middle School provides numerous intramural activities for students in grades 6th, 7th and 8th. We encourage all students to take advantage of all of the wonderful extra-curricular activities that we have to offer. Take the time to view what we offer to see which programs interest you. Fall Intramurals 2017-18
Golf Intramurals
Day of the Week: Monday
Start Date: Monday, September 18
Golf intramurals will be held Mondays weather permitting at Pheasant Hollow Golf Course from 3:00-5:00 p.m. The cost is $10.00 CASH per week to cover greens fees. Students must pick up a permission slip and a detailed sheet on the rules in the boys or girls PE offices. Please return the permission slip along with the money to Mr. Marion or Mr. Sankey. Students will be bused to Evergreen Country Club. Golf bags can be dropped off on the boys side of the gymnasium. Parents are responsible to pick up their child or children promptly at 5:00 p.m.
Volleyball Intramurals
Day of the Week: Wednesday Mornings
Start Date: September 13, 2017
Co-ed volleyball intramurals with Mr. Sankey will be held Wednesday mornings from 7:00 – 7:30 a.m. and conclude on October 30th. All girls and boys interested in participating and learning how to play this great game should report to the Goff gymnasium. Proper athletic attire is necessary for students to participate. Under no circumstances are students to wear any form of dress shoes.
Running Club Intramurals
Days of the Week: Tuesday & Thursdays
Start Date: September 26, 2017 and Ends on November 9, 2017
All girls and boys interested in running should sign up with their PE teachers. Running Club Intramurals takes place on Tuesdays and Thursday mornings with Mrs. Shattuck and/or Mrs. Russell from 7:00 – 7:35 a.m.
Basketball Intramurals
Day of the Week: Wednesday Mornings from 7:00 – 7:30 a.m.
Start Date: November 1, 2017
Co-ed basketball intramurals will begin on Wednesday, November 1, 2017. All interested students should make sure that they are changed and wearing the appropriate physical education attire to participate (t-shirt, sneakers and shorts).

Weight room intramurals will begin at the conclusion of golf intramurals throughout the school year on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Based on the number of students attending, grades may be separated on one of these two days to accommodate all students.
