Male students and staff at Columbia High School are kicking off their shoes and slipping on high heels for the 9th annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes campaign on Saturday at noon in Troy’s Riverfront Park.

The Columbia contingent will walk one mile in women’s shoes to benefit the Sexual Assault and Crime Victims Assistance Program at Samaritan Hospital and bring awareness to gender violence.

“The counseling program gives free assistance to any of our students or families in need and has helped us through crises many times in past and present years,” said Columbia’s social worker Janet Kaiser.
