COVID-19 Updates and Information

Grades 3-5 will return for full time in-person learning starting Monday, April 26, which will fully reopen all elementary schools. The K-12 Full Remote program will still be available to families who choose that option. Due to state regulations, Columbia and Goff will remain in the Hybrid Model at this time. The East Greenbush CSD will continue to evaluate options for Columbia and Goff students to receive increased in-person learning at 6 feet social distancing where possible.

DPS students writing letters to veteransFourth graders at DPS put their writing skills to good use last week as they wrote letters to veterans in honor of Memorial Day. The fourth grade classes also created a patchwork quilt made of colorful illustrations.

“This is a way for us to show appreciation for our soldiers and their sacrifices,” said Fourth Grade Teacher Stephanie Luce. She said the students also learned about Memorial Day and why the holiday is celebrated.

The letters and quilt were sent to veterans at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center at the end of last week.

“I liked doing this because you get a chance to remember veterans and how they risk their lives for us,” said fourth grader Gabe Cecunjanin. “I hope it makes them happy.”
