Food for Families Program

The East Greenbush CSD operates a Food for Families Program that provides FREE FOOD to families in need. Boxes of food are packed regularly with a variety of grocery items and then distributed in a confidential process. If your family is in need of some extra support with food, please reach out to Audra Di Bacco at 518-207-2028 or We also accept food donations to help supply this program. 2016-17 DPS flagDonald P. Sutherland Elementary School unveiled its new flag for the 2016-17 school year at its first Character Education Assembly on Friday afternoon in the gym. Korin Laurilla, who is now a sixth grader at Goff Middle School, returned to DPS to help reveal the flag that he designed last year.

“We are very proud of our annual flag contest,” said Principal Jack Alvey. “It promotes student ownership and pride in our school community. Students are excited to vote, hear the results, and see the final product. We are thrilled that Korin was able to join us for the unveiling.”

During the assembly, fifth graders sang a song about Respect and Mr. Alvey announced winners from the school’s summer Reading Program.
