Genet Elementary School raised $550 through a Halloween candy gram sale to benefit the Jimmy Fund at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in memory of former student Sean Jucha. Sean recently passed away after a long battle with cancer. He attended Genet from 2008-2014.

“I am proud of what Student Council was able to raise in memory of my friend,” said Student Council President Cole Durivage.

Student Council sold 979 candy grams, which were personal messages written on ghost-shaped pieces of paper attached to a lollipop, and then delivered them to students and teachers on the morning of Halloween.

Special thanks to the Genet PTO for their support and for purchasing all of the lollipops for the candy gram sale.
