Green Meadow Named 2021 National Blue Ribbon School

Green Meadow Elementary School was named a 2021 National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education on Tuesday morning. The recognition is based on a school’s overall academic performance. Green Meadow is one of only 325 schools in the country, including one of 19 schools in New York to receive the 2021 National Blue Ribbon School award. Congratulations to Green Meadow students, teachers, staff and families!

16 HandlesElementary school principals from East Greenbush Central School District will face off in a fun frozen yogurt contest at 16 Handles in East Greenbush on Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m.

Each principal will create an original mix of frozen yogurt and toppings to be taste-tested by a panel of judges. The frozen yogurt will be judged on three categories – taste, appearance and creativity.

The winning principal will receive $200 for their school from 16 Handles.

Students and their families are invited to attend and root for their school! Additionally, 16% of all sales from that evening (6:00-9:00 p.m.) will be donated to the elementary schools.
