Green Meadow Named 2021 National Blue Ribbon School

Green Meadow Elementary School was named a 2021 National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education on Tuesday morning. The recognition is based on a school’s overall academic performance. Green Meadow is one of only 325 schools in the country, including one of 19 schools in New York to receive the 2021 National Blue Ribbon School award. Congratulations to Green Meadow students, teachers, staff and families!

The GalleryA new art gallery has popped up in a display case around the corner from the art classrooms at Columbia High School. The Gallery will have artwork from nine students displayed each month. The current exhibit has mediums that include colored pencil, acrylics, pen and ink, paper cutting and watercolor.

“This is a way to continue supporting and guiding our students as they pursue excellence in art,” said Art Teacher Patti LeRoy.

Mrs. LeRoy, along with Mrs. Gordon and Mrs. Neiman, will select student work from each other’s classes to be highlighted every month.
