SchoolMessengerIn an effort to improve communication with our school community, the District has upgraded its notification system to include text messaging. The new system, SchoolMessenger, allows the district to send emails, text messages and phone calls to parents/guardians. The District will use these notifications to send out alerts about emergencies and school news.

Everyone with a cell phone on file in PowerSchool will be receiving a text message invitation from SchoolMessenger on Wednesday, January 18 at 5:30 p.m. The message will come from the short code 67587 and will say: “East Greenbush Central School District messages. Reply Y to confirm, HELP 4 info. Msg&data rates may apply. Msg freq varies. schoolmessenger.com/tm.”

Please follow the instructions in the text message if you would like to receive text alerts in the future. These will be used for emergencies during school hours (sent to emergency contacts) and weather-related closings/delays before school (sent to parents/guardians only).

We will be testing the full notification system on Thursday, January 19 at 6:00 p.m. At that time, you should receive a phone message, email and text message. If you have any issues, please contact your school’s main office.
