Kindergarten Returns Full Time Starting March 1

The Board of Education has approved two changes to the instructional model: 1) Kindergarten students will resume five days a week of in-person learning starting on Monday, March 1. The Full Remote Program is still available to families. 2) Live Virtual Wednesdays will be eliminated for students in grades 1-5 starting March 10 to provide one additional in-person school day every other week. March 10 will be an in-person school day for B Day students and A Day students will have a remote day. The schedule will alternate going forward.

The Columbia High School Bands will host Norman Thibodeau, flutist, composer and Adjunct Professor of Flute from SUNY Schenectady County Community College for a two-day workshop on March 27-28.

A highly sought after flutist, Mr. Thibodeau will spend two days teaching and performing with the students of the East Greenbush Music Department. The two-day residency will culminate with a concert featuring Mr. Thibodeau and the Columbia Concert, Symphonic and Jazz bands on March 28 at 7:00 p.m. in the school auditorium.

Donations of $3 per individual and $10 per family are suggested. Proceeds will benefit the East Greenbush Friends of Music scholarship program. All families and community members are cordially invited!
