L to R: Lyllian Luft, Dora Hayes and Mikayla Mahoney.

Columbia students Dora Hayes, Lyllian Luft and Mikayla Mahoney each had their artwork accepted to the 18th annual High School Regional Juried Art Exhibition at the Opalka Gallery at Sage College in Albany.

Of the 484 pieces of art submitted from the Capital Region, only 130 were selected by a three-person panel.

“Columbia High School contains some really amazing artists,” said art teacher Valerie Gordon. “When original ideas and unique solutions to classroom assignments are created, it makes me extremely proud of their achievement. Being part of such a selective show is just a cherry on top so to speak, to being in the presence of such brilliant, growing artists.”

This art exhibit will be on display through April 23.
