How is first grade in 2017 similar or different from the past? Well students at Genet Elementary School found out by asking their family members as part of a recent research project.

Students in Mrs. Beams and Mrs. Blander’s classes wrote letters to family members asking them to write back with information about school, games, toys and fashion. Many family members enclosed photographs, report cards, and in one case, a quarantine notice for chicken pox, to give a visual glimpse into the past.

The impressive display is setup in the main hallway by the gymnasium.
