Columbia Principal John Sawchuk received an Administrator Leadership Award at the Sage Colleges’ Champions of Character Banquet on April 26.

The annual event honors individuals, schools and organizations throughout New York State for their leadership and dedication to the vision and mission of fostering positive character development in our youth and communities.

“I am very honored to be included in the group that was recognized,” Mr. Sawchuk said. “I know many of the educators and how truly committed they are to kids. I would also like to thank the Sage Colleges for recognizing me and the importance of character education in our schools.”
