Capital Project

The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a $116 million capital project that, if approved by voters, would improve facilities and grounds at all seven schools at no additional cost to the local taxpayer. The proposed capital project will be a proposition on the School Budget Vote and Board Election ballot scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

Miraj Patel, Mrs. Shepardson and Kayla Scott at the Business and Marketing Educators’ Association awards ceremony.

Miraj Patel and Kayla Scott were recently recognized as Columbia’s 2017 Outstanding Business Education Students. They received this honor, not only for their academic achievement, but also for their outstanding citizenship and positive attitude.

Mr. Patel has taken Accounting, Microsoft Office, and Business Technical Math. Ms. Scott has taken Marketing, Microsoft Word Essentials, Microsoft Office, and Business Technical Math.

The students received their awards at the Business and Marketing Educators’ Association of the Capital District in Colonie earlier this month where 17 area high schools recognized their outstanding business students.

Business teacher Donna Shepardson also received an award at the event. She was named Business Teacher of the Year for her contributions, dedication, and commitment to Business Education.
