Red Mill students competed in a number of track and field events at their annual Field Day last week behind the school.
Students ran in the 50, 100 and 300 meter races, the 50 meter hurdles and the 4×300 relay. They also chose one field event, which included the running long jump, high jump, discus, javelin, sack races, softball throw and basketball shooting.
Field Day culminated with the Coaches Cup race (300m) between the fastest students in school – fifth graders Daniel Cantwell, Sebastian Pietkiewicz and Addyson Yaeger. Yaeger won with a time of 52.3 seconds.
