Fifth graders at Bell Top received certificates on June 16, signifying the end of their elementary school careers and a new beginning as middle school students.

The Moving Up Ceremony began with students singing the National Anthem and “We are the Champions” under the direction of music teacher Maggie Glennie.

Brendan Kurimsky and Grace Steele received the New York State Attorney General’s Triple C Award for “Character, Courage and Commitment” and Kaiya Hibbs-Sanger won the NYS Comptroller’s Student Achievement Award for academic excellence and leadership potential.

All graduating students received a certificate and were congratulated by Principal Martin Mahar and the 5th grade teachers.

The program ended with a photo slideshow featuring each of the students.
