Kindergarten Returns Full Time Starting March 1

The Board of Education has approved two changes to the instructional model: 1) Kindergarten students will resume five days a week of in-person learning starting on Monday, March 1. The Full Remote Program is still available to families. 2) Live Virtual Wednesdays will be eliminated for students in grades 1-5 starting March 10 to provide one additional in-person school day every other week. March 10 will be an in-person school day for B Day students and A Day students will have a remote day. The schedule will alternate going forward.

Student leaders at Freshman Orientation

Student leaders assist freshmen with their schedules at orientation.

Columbia High School welcomes incoming Freshmen and New Students on Thursday, August 24 with our annual orientation program. This program is designed to familiarize incoming 9th grade students with the world of high school and lay the foundation for a successful first year at Columbia.

The agenda consists of a full day of activities including an introduction of student leaders, staff and administrators as well as breakout sessions and tours. The program begins at 9:00 a.m. in the Columbia auditorium and ends at approximately 12:30 p.m. with a class barbecue near the football field.

Parents are welcome but not mandated to come. There will be an informational session for parents who do attend.
