While school is out and students are enjoying summer vacation, the East Greenbush maintenance and technology staff are hard at work cleaning classrooms, making repairs and getting the buildings ready for September.
Here’s a rundown of what’s been done already:
- Classroom cleaning – Every classroom in each school is emptied out and cleaned
- Classroom painting – Various rooms and hallways in all schools
- Smart Board and TV installations – Goff, Bell Top and Genet
- Projector installation – Goff Library
- Re-install computers after room cleaning – All schools
- Replacing carpets – Goff Computer Rooms, Green Meadow Band Room and Green Meadow TV Studio
- Slate roof repairs – DPS
- Drainage repair – DPS
- Parking lot sealing and re-striping – Bell Top, DPS and Green Meadow
- New paved sidewalk and post removal – Green Meadow
- Basketball backboards straightened – Green Meadow Playground
- Playground repairs and upgrades – Bell Top and DPS
- Re-painted turf field and assembled new field hockey goals and scorers’ tables – Columbia
- Aerated and seeded athletic fields – Columbia and Goff
- Fencing replacements – Columbia
- Gymnasium floor resurfacing – All schools
- New lighting – Goff weight room and Red Mill exterior
- Exhaust fan replacements – Genet and Green Meadow
- Replacing cafeteria tile – Goff
- Bathroom partition replacements – Columbia
- Front entrance glass cleaning – Columbia
- Fuel oil supply pump replacement for boilers – DPS
- Tree removal and new plantings – Red Mill
- Mowing, weeding, planting, seeding and fertilizing – All schools
- Equipment maintenance
